Monday, August 26, 2013 Borough of Matawan Mayor Paul Buccellato announced he will encourage eligible Matawan businesses to apply for the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders Façade Improvement Program. Businesses in HUD eligible areas (eligible areas are indicated in pink on the maps located on the Borough website) can apply for a grant of up to $1,850 for a facade upgrade such as a new awning, paint, door or sign. There are no matching funds required, and the total project cost cannot exceed $1,850.
