Citizen Online Reporting
The Matawan Police Department is now offering the option of filing an online report. This is being offered in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic in order to minimize exposure to the virus and offer an alternative method of reporting to the community we serve. If you wish to report a theft of $200.00 or under, damage to property or lost property (cell phone etc.), you may now navigate to www.matawanpolice.org , click on the Citizen Online Reporting tab and then on the appropriate link to file a report.
Once submitted, a supervisor or detective will be assigned and will conduct a follow-up investigation with the reporting party as necessary. This system is not to be used to request first aid, report crimes in progress, report domestic violence, or to report any other emergency or in progress incident.
